Boosting Profits with Honeygrow’s Game-Changing Ghost Kitchen

My Role: Marketing Direction - Digital Marketing Management

Honeygrow’s corporate office in Philadelphia was a unique 18,000-square-foot space in Fishtown. Faced with high leasing costs, we turned the challenge into an opportunity by creating one of the nation’s first ghost kitchens.

We repurposed part of the space and on-site commissary during off-hours, added an online-only location to our app, and introduced an exclusive menu to new customers. We encouraged them to innovate with us by ordering and sharing feedback on potential new offerings.

The ghost kitchen was a success, generating revenue equal to a traditional location with a fraction of the operating costs and no build-out expenses. It boosted database growth, order value, visit frequency, and inspired local partnerships. It also allowed us to test a new area before committing to a lease, leading to a successful new location.

This initiative showcased the power of teamwork and adaptability, turning a financial hurdle into an innovative, customer-focused solution.
